I understand by the nature of the tool that this isn't necessarily going to be simple to use, but figuring out what controls are used where is a real challenge. I'm reading the guide and only through an hour and a half of trial and error have I figured out where most of the controls are used. 

For example, it says the L button is for looping in the current column. I've pushed L seemingly everywhere -- it does nothing. 

Having some sort of guide with arrows pointing to where everything goes and what buttons correspond to what would be great. As is, the guide is kinda criminally vague about how to actually use the software. It only explains what it can do, not how to do it.

EDIT: Okay, I ended up figuring it out. Still confusing though.
